How do you print onto the clothing?

We use cut vinyl. Your design is cut out of coloured vinyl on a plotter, the excess is weeded away by hand, and it is heat pressed into the fabric. It gives a sharp, hard wearing finish that holds up to washing, and it is what suits names, numbers, lettering and solid colour logos best. Caps go on a separate press with a curved platen so the design sits flat on the front panel.

What clothing can you print on?

Accepted Answer

T-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts, polo shirts, sports jerseys, workwear, hi-vis, activewear, caps and hats. Caps go on a dedicated hat press, so they are a normal order rather than an awkward one. If you have something else in mind, send us a photo or a link and we will tell you whether it will take a press.

Can you print individual names and numbers?

Yes. Every garment in an order can carry a different name and number. Send us the list alongside the sizes and we will match them up. This works for team strips, staff uniforms and personalised event shirts.

Do you accept small orders?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A single personalised shirt or hoodie is a normal order for us. There is no minimum quantity, so you are welcome to order one piece or test a design before committing to a bigger run.

Can you handle bulk team or business orders?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Full team kits, complete staff uniforms and event runs are all part of what we do. For larger orders it helps to get in touch early with the quantities, sizes and the date you need them by so we can plan it properly.

Can I supply my own clothing?

Accepted Answer

In most cases yes, and plenty of customers do. Tell us what the garments are and what they are made from when you request a quote, because the fabric affects which print method will work best. We will confirm before anything is printed.

What artwork files should I send?

Accepted Answer

A vector file is what we really want: SVG, PDF, AI or EPS. Because the design is cut rather than printed, the machine needs clean outlines to follow. A high resolution PNG with a transparent background can usually be traced, but it is extra work and very fine detail can be lost. Avoid screenshots, images pulled from social media, and anything small or blurry.

Can you print a photograph or a detailed full colour design?

Accepted Answer

Not at the moment. Vinyl is cut rather than printed, so a design has to resolve into solid shapes in a countable number of colours. Photographs, gradients and colour fades cannot be cut. We can often simplify a busy design into two or three colours and it looks better on a garment for it, so send it through and we will tell you honestly. Full colour printed transfers are being set up, and we will update this page the day they are running.

Can you help prepare my design for printing?

Yes. We can set up logos, names and numbers so they are the right size, position and format for the garment, and convert a flat image into the clean outlines a cutter needs. That is preparing artwork you already have. Creating a brand new logo from scratch is a separate design job, so ask about it and we will let you know what is involved.

How long will my order take?

It depends on the size of the order, the garments involved and what is already in the queue. Tell us the date you need the clothing by when you request a quote and we will confirm whether that is achievable before you commit to anything.

Let us know which you would prefer when you request a quote, along with where you are based, and we will confirm the options and any cost for your order.

How is pricing calculated?

Pricing depends on the garment, the quantity, how many print positions you need and whether individual names and numbers are involved. Because those vary so much from one order to the next, we quote each job rather than publishing a fixed price list. Send us the details and you will get a quote with no obligation.
